Betty Mae Williams went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2026. She was able to be in her own home and holding the hand of her husband of 68 years. Betty was born and raised in Chesapeake City, Maryland, which remained her true home in her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Clara Foster, her sister, Margie Arrants, and her son, Frederick Williams, Jr. She moved to Seaford in 2014 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed her home, especially the flowers and birds in the yard. She was an avid animal lover and rescued many cats over the years, including her loves at the end of her life Molly and Pepper. At the age of 86, Betty got her wish and bought a puppy, Buddy. Buddy stayed at Betty’s feet or in her lap until the very end. Betty loved seeing the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and always had a smile and lots of love to give them. She enjoyed hearing about their lives and adventures. One of her greatest moments was getting to see her favorite artist, Toby Keith with her family. She remained a loyal fan and would still giggle at some of his lyrics.

Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frederick A. Williams; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dean Swingle; three beautiful grandchildren and their spouses, Aly and Tyler Williamson, Ryan and Amber Swingle, and Julia and Ethan Ward. Betty was blessed with 5 great grandchildren that she loved - Grace, Lucas, Charlotte and Levi Williamson, and Magnolia Swingle.
