Graves, Jr.
February 5, 1978 – January 26, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charles L. Graves, Jr. on January 26th, 2025. Lenny was born on February 5th, 1978 in Wilmington, DE., the first child of Charles L. Graves Sr. and Beverly A. Graves. He had a distinguished academic career, graduating from Salesianum School and earning a Bachelor's Degree in Science from Neumann University. Early in his career he used his education researching Parkinson's disease while working at Penn University.
After relocating to Sussex County, he was a self-employed carpenter and loved the challenge of building things and spending time outdoors.
Lenny was a loving husband, father, son, and brother and enjoyed music, art, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife and daughter, Lori and Abigail Graves, his parents Charles Graves Sr. and Beverly Graves, brothers Michael and Kirtis of Georgetown, DE. He also leaves behind his step-children; Sarah Covey and her daughters Layla and Myla Mills of Seaford, DE., Chelsea Brown and sons Derrick, Avery and Grayson of Seaford, DE. and Michael Covey, US Coast Guard, San Francisco, CA. Lenny also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, all who miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 9, 2025 from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Gumboro Community Center, 36849 Millsboro Highway, Millsboro, DE. 19966. Please join us in fellowship and remembrance.
