Jennifer Kordell passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 66. She was born on May 7th, 1958, in Washington D.C. to Donald and Betty Heckard and spent her final years in Seaford, DE with her husband, Ed.

Jennifer was a loving wife for over 34 years to Edward Kordell. She is also survived by Jessica Kordell, brother George (Kathleen) Heckard, niece Morgan Cunningham, and several other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by parents Donald and Betty Heckard and brother Don Heckard.

Jennifer found happiness in camping and fishing, a day at the beach or on the bay, knitting, crocheting and sewing (often making gifts for loved ones or for donating to charities), as well as Miami Dolphins football. She would always welcome neighbors into her home and her kitchen was a place of warmth and love, where cherished meals were shared with family and friends. Jennifer loved watching her British TV shows, like Doctor Who, and enjoyed reading; some of her favorite books being The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the Dune series. Her and Ed shared a love of music and often enjoyed live concerts at Solomon's Island, the National Mall, Wolf Trap and Saint Mary's College.
