Bill Darkow, 68, of Dagsboro, passed away on March 30, 2026, at TidalHealth Atlantic in Berlin, Maryland.

Born on June 16, 1957, in Easton, Maryland, Bill was the son of Walter Darkow and Nettie V. Rogers Darkow.

He attended Indian River High School, Class of 1975, and went on to build a life defined by hard work, skill, and dependability.

Following high school, Bill worked as a tractor-trailer driver and later in masonry and carpentry. He was widely known as a dependable handyman with the ability to fix nearly anything.

Bill had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature, where he found peace and contentment.

He is survived by his son, Bill Darkow Jr. of Millsboro; his daughter, Crystal Roe of Gumboro; and his sister, Judy Hoxter Bailey of Delmar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Darkow and Nettie V. Rogers Darkow.

Bill will be remembered for his strong work ethic, practical skills, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Eddie Davidson and his family for always being there for Bill and for their kindness and support.
